On IWD Tom’s Balancing Work, Family, and Everything in Between
Janice’s phone rang. She was in the middle of her presentation to the Board of Directors.
She let the call go to voicemail.
The call was immediately followed by a What’s Up from her husband. Call me asap. All in block capitals.
She raced through the last slides. She had been working on this the whole week. When she was done, she pretended she had to go to the toilet.
But she knew that everyone knew. She hoped they would forgive her and give her another chance. It was tough enough being the only woman in that meeting.
What happened?
